the intent for this pant was simple: to capture the simplicity and iconic nature of a traditional piece, while elevating it with a more modern, accommodating silhouette.

preserving the key details such as the adjustable double-button closure, extra-wide fly, oversized patch pockets, and a triple-needle inseam & outseam, we paired these elements with a high rise, an easy top block, and a straight wide leg.

How To Measure

first thing's first, grab a pair of your favorite pants that have a similar rise. find a measuring tape and a flat surface to measure on. be sure to lay your pants flat, smoothing out the fabric to remove any slack. compare the measurements to the chart above.

waist

the circumference of the waistband, along the top edge.

hip

the width at the bottom of the J stitch, straight across. double the flat measurement.

Front rise

the length from the bottom of the crotch seam to the top edge of the front waistband.

thigh

starting 1” below the crotch seam, the width of the leg perpendicular to the outer seam. double the flat measurement.

leg opening

the width of the opening at the bottom of the leg. double the flat measurement.

inseam

following the inside-leg seam, the length from the crotch seam to the bottom of the leg.

the most comfortable and easy wearing jean I've ever worn -- they felt just as good wearing them the first time as the 10th!

the carpenter pant has a great throwback skater sort of vibe to them. I liked wearing them longer, and i think they look good styled a bit slouchy.

I feel like these run a little big compared to other I+W mens jeans. I wore a 31, and could have easily done a 30, but I liked wearing them a little baggier. I was also able to wear them with no break since they have an extra button to help them fit tighter on my waist.

all in all, they wore very easy, and made me look good.
